What is the SPAM Trap Avoidance Re-Opt In Email?
The SPAM Trap Avoidance Re-Opt In Email is part of
ongoing efforts to implement the latest strategies available to deliver
emails sent by the system to Contacts’ Inboxes.
How SPAM Traps Work:
When an Email account has not been accessed for a long time, the Email
Service Provider considers it as inactive. The Email IDs for Email Senders
who send to these inactive accounts are saved/trapped and those senders
are then considered SPAMMERs. When a Sender is considered a SPAMMER, all
emails from that Sender are blocked with the Email Service Provider.
The SPAM Trap Avoidance Re-Opt In Email will help identify
Contacts who have inactive email accounts to avoid you being marked as
a SPAMMER by SPAM Traps set up by Email Service Providers.
The SPAM Trap Avoidance Re-Opt In Email is sent to
a Contact who has been sent an email
within the last 6 months but has
not opened an email in over six months.
When the SPAM Trap Avoidance Re-Opt In Email is sent,
the Contact Details, Contact Activity Table will be updated to note that
this occurred.
● If the Contact clicks the CONFIRM Link in the SPAM
Trap Avoidance Re-Opt In Email, the Contact’s status will remain unchanged.
When the CONFIRM link is clicked, the Contact Details, Contact Activity
Table will be updated to note that this occurred.
● If the Contact clicks the UNSUBSCRIBE Link in the SPAM
Trap Avoidance Re-Opt In Email, he/she will be unsubscribed. When the
UNSUBSCRIBE link is clicked, the Contact Details, Contact Activity Table
will be updated to note that this occurred.
● If the Contact does not click either link in the SPAM
Trap Avoidance Re-Opt In Email, the Contact will be automatically unsubscribed
7 days after the Re-Opt In Email is sent. The Contact Status for when
a Contact is unsubscribed this way is Unsubscribed Due to Inactivity.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If a Contact who has Unsubscribed Due to
Inactivity status clicks the CONFIRM Link in the SPAM Trap Avoidance Re-Opt
In Email, his/her email status will revert to be Confirmed.
